Service Description
Acupuncture is us as part of an integrated approach to the management of pain and inflammation and a means of stimulating the body’s own healing chemicals in order to aid recovery and enhance rehabilitation. It involves the use of single-use, pre-sterilised, disposable needles that pierce the skin at specific acupuncture points. Acupuncture within physiotherapy is implemented in accordance with clinical and research evidence and can be a valuable tool to aid treatment of many musculoskeletal (physiotherapy requiring) conditions. Acupuncture can also be used effectively to help treat some headaches and migraines. Acupuncture has a cumulative effect and therefore 4-6 sessions are usually recommended to gain full effect.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. Changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full appointment fee. If you are a client of a private health insurance company, this will result in the loss of one of your allocated sessions.
